Lead-acid battery is a very important cell system. Advantage of lead-acid battery is discharging force more stable, the disadvantage is small specific energy (energy per unit weight of the storage),and environmental corrosion. The size and weight of lead acid battery have been unable to obtain effective improvement, so far the most common is to use on the car, motorcycle. the biggest improvement is the newly adopted high efficiency of oxygen recombination technology to complete the regeneration of water, thereby completely sealing purposes without adding water, and made of "free water battery" on its life of up to 4 years (single plate voltage 2V).
Since 1859 invented by the Plante, lead acid battery has been 150 years of history, now the technology is very mature, the most widely used chemical power on the globe. Although in recent years, nickel-cadmium batteries, nickel hydrogen batteries, lithium ion batteries and other new batteries have come out and been applied, but lead acid battery still with a large current discharge performance, stable voltage characteristics, suitable for a wide range of temperature, single battery capacity, safe and abundant raw materials and the use of renewable, low prices and a series of advantages in most traditional areas and some emerging application areas, occupy a strong position.
